Mark PBX Messages as Read in Reservation Screen (Cloud)

Mark PBX Messages as Read in Reservation Screen (Cloud)

This feature requires an active PBX interface.
When your property uses an active PBX interface, message alerts are sent directly to a guest’s room phone. Marking these messages as read from the reservation keeps records accurate, confirms guest notification, and saves time without switching to the PBX screen. This article explains how to view and update PBX message status directly from a reservation.
Path: Front Office > Reservations > Search
Idea
You can also find an In-House guest by using Search Today on the Dashboard.

Instructions

1. Open the reservation and locate the red blinking message icon on the right-hand side — this indicates one or more pending PBX messages.

2. The page opens on the Unread messages tab. To mark a message as read, click the blue envelope icon at the end of the line.

3. To mark a message as unread, switch to the Read or All tab, then click the blue envelope icon beside the message you want to update.

Notes
After all messages have been marked read, the red blinking icon disappears — this signals the guest has been notified.
Idea
If the message icon is not visible, check that the guest’s folio status is In-House and that the PBX interface is active and online.
