Opt Guest Into Text Messaging (Cloud)


Opting a guest into Guest Texting opens a communication channel via SMS throughout their stay. This allows the hotel to send timely notifications and receive guest requests—all directly through the reservation screen (in both Add Res and BookRes modes).
Path: Front Office > Reservations > Add Res/BookRes
Idea
Always confirm the guest’s phone number and their consent to send text messages—this respects privacy and avoids messaging errors.

Overview

In AddRes
As you create the reservation, check the Text Message box to opt the guest into SMS texting.


In BookRes (Page 2)
When completing the reservation details, check the Text Message box to enroll the guest.
