On VM Desktop, managing no-shows means to check-in the guest during the night audit pre-audit checklist process. This will require you to assign a room number and check-in the reservation in case the guest shows up.
Path: Accounting > Night Audit > Night Audit.
1. Click View in the middle next to No Shows.
2. Click Print to keep a copy of the list.
3. The report will show anyone pending to check-in:
- guest name. | - room rate. |
- if the room is share with another room/folio. | - departure date. |
- folio number. | - method of Payment set up in the reservation. |
- confirmation number. | - any posted deposit. |
- room number if one has already been allocated. | - reservation comments. |
4. Double click on the guest name to open the reservation.
5. On the left, choose to cancel or check-in the reservation as a no-show.
6. Click Close at the bottom left to go back to the list.
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 with any remaining no-show.
8. Once completed, click Close again at the bottom left to go back to the pre-audit checklist.
9. Once every reservation left have been either cancelled or checked-in, the status will automatically change to "Completed".
