Check In a Group with “None” Guarantee Type (Cloud) 🎥

This article applies to group reservations with the guarantee type None in Visual Matrix Cloud.
Choosing None means each guest is responsible for paying their own room, tax, and incidental charges. No charges post to the Group Master Folio. At check-in, the system treats the group master as a container for organization only. Guests must be checked in individually, each providing their own method of payment. Below are the steps and special notes for checking in a “None” guarantee group.
Path: Front Office > Groups > Search > Open the Group

Instructions

1. Confirm that the group’s Guarantee Type is set to None.

2. Click Check In from the Tools menu.

3. When prompted, respond “YES” to confirm you are checking in the Group Master only, not individual reservations. Each guest reservation will require its own check-in later, where guests must provide a payment method for their charges.

Info
If you skip checking in the Group Master, the system will do so during the night audit.

4. Select the method of payment to complete the group check-in.

- Did the master check-in succeed or did it trigger night audit fallback?

Support May Ask You:
- What is the group ID or name?
- Did the prompt “YES to check in master only” appear?
- Are you seeing any error or warning message?
- Can you provide a screenshot of the prompt or group check-in screen?
