Newly Set Up with MOP: Essential Steps to Take (MOP 2.0)

This process applies exclusively to MOP users integrated with Visual Matrix Cloud PMS.

A significant milestone has been achieved. You now have access to MOP and are set to start benefiting from it by saving time, streamlining processes, enhancing communication, and ultimately saving money. However, let’s ensure everything is set up correctly from the start!

1. Ensure that all users, from Site Admins to Room Attendants, complete their training through VM University. Following your implementation, you received an email from the Visual Matrix Knowledge Management department outlining the training process and requesting a list of your employees with their email addresses. This list is needed to enroll everyone in their required course, with only one course per user. Webinar recordings are also available in the VM Community. The email also included key steps and how-to instructions for getting started with MOP.

2. All users should be imported into MOP. If anyone is missing, it’s because their profile isn’t created in the PMS. Create the profile in the PMS first and then import it into MOP (using Add Tasks). Note that the import may take a few minutes.

3. Verify that each user account is updated, focusing on the following key aspects:
- Ensure the correct role is assigned to each user. This role provides access to the necessary functions for their job. You can customize roles, which you’ll learn about in your VM University course.
- Confirm that phone numbers* and emails (for notifications and alerts) are entered. *Required
- Update the "Verify By" status. This setting determines if a user’s work needs verification. If "Self" is selected, tasks completed by room attendants or maintenance staff will automatically be marked as Verified. If "Super" is selected, tasks will remain marked as completed until a Supervisor updates them to "Verified."

4. Ensure everyone has Chrome downloaded on their mobile devices and has created a shortcut to access MOP.

5. Usernames are created automatically in the format FirstName_PropertyID.
6. The temporary password will be "FIRSTNAME1234#", all uppercase. Each user will be prompted to create their own password upon login.
