Reactivate Canceled Reservation (Cloud)

Reactivate Canceled Reservation (Cloud)

If a reservation has been canceled but you need to bring it back—provided the arrival date hasn’t passed—you can use the Reactivate function. This restores the reservation status (based on its original guarantee method) and updates inventory. Keep in mind, if the booking was made online and originally had a special rate, reactivation may apply the current rate instead.
Path: Front Office > Reservation > Open a cancelled reservation.
Idea
Confirm the arrival date hasn’t passed before reactivating—past dates cannot be reactivated.

Instructions

1. Reactivate: Click Reactivate in the toolbox on the right side.

2. Confirm Reactivation: Accept the prompt. A confirmation message may note a brief delay before the change syncs with your CRS/Channel Manager.

3. Reservation Status Restored: The reservation reactivates using the original guarantee method (e.g., Held or Guaranteed).

Warning
If you cancel an online reservation and then reactivate it, the system will apply the current rate in effect at the time of reactivation. This may override any special rate that was originally booked.
