Room attendant notes help ensure housekeeping staff have the right context before entering a room. In Visual Matrix Cloud, these notes can come from two places: instructions entered by the Head Housekeeper during room assignment, or Housekeeping Comments added by the Front Office directly on a reservation. This article focuses on how to add maid instructions from the housekeeping side, so room attendants receive clear, room-specific guidance as part of their daily assignments.

Instructions
Maid instructions are short notes added to a room assignment to guide the room attendant on special tasks, conditions, or requirements unique to that room.
1. Click directly in the instructions field for the specific room and enter the guidance or notes you want the room attendant to see.
2. Click Save to store the maid instructions.
Understanding the Feature
Maid instructions are plain-text notes tied to a room’s housekeeping assignment and displayed on both the Room Assignments Report and the Housekeeping Arrivals report. These notes appear alongside Housekeeping Comments, which are pulled directly from the active reservation assigned to the room for that day.
Housekeeping Comments only appear if the reservation is currently assigned to the room.
Comments from future reservations do not show on the report, even if the same room is assigned.
Providing clear instructions helps staff complete room-specific tasks (e.g., extra cleaning, special guest requests, and amenities placement) and reduces miscommunication between management and housekeeping teams.
