Locating an existing maintenance work order allows staff to view, update, or complete the request in Visual Matrix Cloud. Searching for work orders helps you find issues that are pending, in progress, or already completed, by filtering on criteria such as room number, common area, assigned associate, status, and date range. Knowing how to efficiently search for work orders supports timely resolution and keeps maintenance workflows organized.
Path: Maintenance > Work Orders > Search
Notes
Opening a work order allows you to edit its details—such as out-of-order dates, assignment, maintenance item, or comments—as long as the work order has not been completed. Completed work orders cannot be edited.

Instructions

When you open the Work Orders page, all existing work orders are displayed by default. You can use the available filters to narrow down the list and quickly locate a specific work order, but no filtering is required to view results.

1. In the Work Order Search area:
  1. Select a status (All, Pending, or Completed).
  2. Optionally enter a Room Number or Common Area.
  3. Select a user in Assigned To to filter by associate.
  4. Enter a Start Date and End Date to narrow results.

2. Click Search to retrieve matching work orders.

3. From the search results list, click a work order to open it and take further action (such as completing or reviewing details).

Idea
Use combined filters (e.g., status + date range) to narrow results quickly when there are many work orders.
